The sun slides down behind Willow Farm. The sky turns orange, then purple, then deep starry blue. Up comes the moon, round and kind. It's time for the farm to sleep.
In the big red barn, Daisy the cow chews her last mouthful of hay. "Moooo," she yawns softly. She folds her legs and settles down. Good night, Daisy.
In the warm straw, Pickle the pig wiggles and snuffles until he finds the perfect cozy spot. "Oink... oink..." His curly tail goes still. Good night, Pickle.
Woolly the sheep lies close to her lamb, two soft clouds side by side. "Baa," she whispers. Good night, Woolly. Good night, little lamb.
Henny the hen spreads her feathers wide, and three tiny chicks tuck underneath. "Cheep, cheep," they peep, then not a sound. Good night, Henny. Good night, little chicks.
Biscuit the pony gives a gentle snort and closes his long-lashed eyes. Outside, a cricket sings and the lantern glows low. The whole farm is quiet. Good night, Willow Farm. And good night to you.
